Meriva Impact.
Background

Twenty-five years turning complex technology into things that reach a market.

Henry Tse · MEng(Hons) CEng FIET

The short version: I've spent my career at the point where good technology either becomes a product people buy, or quietly doesn't. Defence, transport, AI, autonomy, infrastructure. Large organisations and small ones. The pattern that holds across all of it is the one Meriva Impact is built around — the work isn't usually stuck on the technology, it's stuck on the thinking around the technology.

In recent years that has meant shaping and steering rather than delivering hands-on: setting direction, chairing the reviews that test whether a plan holds, and representing the work to the people who fund it. That is the work I want to keep doing — as a Non-Executive Director, and as an adviser where a team needs the diagnosis.

Henry Tse MEng(Hons) CEng FIET

Founder and Director, Meriva Impact

Henry Tse

Henry is a senior innovation, product and ecosystem leader with 25+ years' experience across defence, national security, transport innovation, AI, autonomy and public-purpose technology.

His career has run across three worlds that rarely meet in one person — large-scale industry delivery at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence; national innovation and policy work across modes at Connected Places Catapult; and active engagement with the academic and research community through the University of Southampton, the UK Trustworthy Autonomous Systems programme, and the UK Responsible AI programme.

That combination shapes how Henry advises boards and senior leaders. Most NEDs and advisers bring depth in one of those domains — strategy, risk, or network — and read across the others. Henry's value sits in the seams between them: in the questions where the strategy question, the risk question and the route-to-market question are the same question, and where judgement needs to come from someone who has delivered, navigated the policy and ecosystem, and worked the research side from inside.

Affiliations represent Henry's experience and roles. They are not endorsements of Meriva Impact by those organisations.
